Welcome to Middle Lake Steel

Middle Lake Double Band. Our reinforced inside band is stonger than most others. The 1/4" plates welded beside each leg give you 12" of solid weld holding that leg into place, so it can't twist or crack.
vs.
Four down hand welds that are transferring all your bin's weight down on its legs.

Example: 5000 bu leg bin with grain at 60 lbs = 300,000 lbs ÷ 10 legs = 30,000 lbs of downward pressure on each leg.

Do you want that weight on 4 vertical down hand welds or a foot of solid forehand welds?

Middle Lake Braces. All our bins come with either 1-1/2" or 2" square tubing braces. Square tubing is stronger vs. angle iron and water is never trapped behind so it won't sit and corrode your legs.

125w x 188w At Middle Lake Steel our heavy duty 15 ft to 22 ft are built out of 4x4 or 5x5 188 wall legs and skids vs. most competitor's 125 wall legs and skids. 188 wall is 3/16 of an inch thick compared to 125 wall which is 1/8 of an inch thick.

In 10 or 15 years or more from your purchase, taking into consideration rusting of material, how strong will the 125 wall be?

Even if the 188 wall corrodes down 1/16 it will still be a 125 wall. Would you want 10,000 buchels of grain resting on light walled legs or skids?
